| Ice falls are common on the South-east face of Mt Sefton (3150m). Avalanche watching is a popular activity when sun bathing at Mueller Hut on the Sealy Range - which is how this view was taken! Because it takes a few seconds for the thunderous sound to cross the valley, most of the show is over before you've even spotted which part of the face is collapsing. |
