Avalanche Peak ChallengeA popular race in Summer (February) crosses Avalanche Peak (1800m) and descends 1000m into the Crow valley via a steep scree slope. It continues to follow the Crow and Waimakariri rivers out to the finish at Paddi's Bealey Hotel (site of recent infamous Moa sightings). The record is about 2hrs!! |
