Rafting the Clarence river, Inland Kaikoura

Brushing teeth (Katharine Holdsworth) at the last campsite - where the Clarence exits the final gorge. From here the river continues towards the distant Te Ao whekere (2600m) on the Seaward Kaikoura range (right on the horizon - must climb it some time). Before getting there, the river turns through 90 degrees left and heads towards the sea. The last section drops 200m over a few km and this can generate some big bouncy rapids.
